Casi Callaway

Casi (kc) Callaway- (pronounced kc) is from Mobile, Alabama, graduated from the last all girls’ class of Julius T. Wright and finished with a degree in Philosophy and Ecology from Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia. She started in the environmental field as the Southeastern Regional College Campus Coordinator for Earth Day 1990. Mrs. Callaway’s next environmental job was in Washington, DC for Clean Water Action. She worked on local, state, and federal campaigns doing public education, research of political issues, lobbying at every level of government and fundraising. Before leaving DC, Mrs. Callaway attained the positions of the DC Field Canvass Director and the D.C. Office’s Florida Program Director.
As Executive Director & Baykeeper of Mobile Baykeeper (formerly Mobile Bay Watch, Inc.), Mrs. Callaway is responsible for coordinating public education; community organizing; research and fundraising. Mobile Baykeeper has over 3,500 members and deals with issues such as sewage, air toxics, mercury exposure, permit violations, industrial growth and other public health protection issues. She holds four gubernatorial appointments and serves on the boards of several local, state and regional environmental organizations.
Donna C. Jordan

As Program Director, Donna’s primary responsibility is to ensure regulatory agencies are accountable for implementing environmental statutes. She monitors local projects of environmental concern as well as tracking air and water permitting activity in the watershed. She also reviews member concerns and public comments received for possible expanded involvement of Mobile Baykeeper.
A native of Alabama’s Wiregrass region, Donna is a 2002 magna cum laude graduate of Troy University, where she received her B.A. in Business Administration. Her interest in Alabama’s waterways began during her childhood in rural Crenshaw County, living on Gantt Lake and fishing with her family on Patsaliga Creek and the Conecuh River. Donna first came to Mobile Baykeeper as a volunteer, before joining staff as an Americorps VISTA volunteer, and eventually becoming Program Director.

Tammy Herrington
Deputy Director

As Deputy Director for Mobile Baykeeper, Tammy's primary responsibility is currently responding to the oil crisis in the Gulf of Mexico. She coordinates volunteers, works on community outreach, public relations and manages the grants for the organization. She is originally from Louisiana and graduated from University of Southern Mississippi with a B.S. in Psychology and a minor in English. Her previous experience includes serving as the Community Outreach Coordinator and contract grant writer for The Lighthouse shelter in Baldwin County. Tammy’s passion for spending time on the water started at an early age from visits to Gulf Coast beaches and fishing trips with her grandfather.

Erin Reimer
Development Director

Erin is a native Mobilian and a graduate of the University of Montevallo with a Bachelors in Interior Design and Business. After working in Residential and Commercial Design for 14 years, Erin decided to take those experiences to the non-profit world. She truly enjoys her work as the Development Director at Mobile Baykeeper coordinating membership recruitment as well as all fundraising events. Erin is also involved in her community through Junior League of Mobile, church, and school. Working to protect the environment is important to Erin because it ensures her family and others will continue to have this wonderful resource as part of their heritage.
AmeriCorps Vista Volunteers
AmeriCorps VISTA is a national service program whose members commit to serve full-time for a year at a nonprofit organization or local government agency. We have six VISTA volunteers in our office and our partner agencies. The VISTA volunteers work with communities most impacted by pollution and help with fundraising activities, public relations and marketing, water quality monitoring, oyster reef gardening, and stormwater runoff education.
Carol Miller

Carol has been an Americorps Vista volunteer for Mobile Baykeeper since February 2008. Since that time, she has assisted the staff in the design and development of the Alabama Muddy Water Watch project, conducted research on several topics also related to environmental justice issues, and supported numerous activities in which Mobile Baykeeper is involved as an advocate for clean water and clean air in Alabama.
Originally from the Midwest, Carol moved to the Church Street East neighborhood of downtown Mobile in 2007 from Washington DC following a 30+ year career with the Central Intelligence Agency. Carol has a son, Derek, a daughter, Shelby, and five grandchildren.
Molly Wallace

Molly is a graduate of Auburn University with a B.S. in Wildlife Science. Prior to coming to Mobile Baykeeper in July 2009, Molly interned with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service at Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge as part of their sea turtle nest monitoring and conservation program. A native of Decatur, AL, she grew up fishing and boating on the Tennessee River where she developed a deep appreciation and passion for protecting Alabama's abundant and diverse waterways.
