MLK Day of Service

Join us with other community partners at Tricentennial Park (2121 Lake Dr. Mobile, AL 36617) for the "MLK Day of Service" honoring the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. as we give back to our community and environment. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the cleanup will last from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Cleanup supplies (trash bags, trash pickers, gloves, etc.), food, and beverages will be provided.

Volunteers should expect cold weather and dress accordingly in long-sleeved clothing, boots, waders, etc. Additionally, volunteers with canoes and kayaks are encouraged to bring them to remove as much litter from the creek as possible.

There will be a variety of guest speakers from the community, which will be announced at a later date. Delta Bike Project is offering a bike ride to and from the cleanup to encourage the use of alternative forms of transportation. To sign up for the ride, visit the Delta Bike Project Facebook Event here.  To register for the cleanup in advance, click here. For more information, please call Mobile United at 251-432-1638.
