Saturday, January 13 - 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. -

ONE MILE CREEK ACCESS POINT - 498 MARION ST. (CORNER OF N. LAWRENCE ST. & MARION ST.)

We're excited to have an additional site on One Mile Creek for the 2018 MLK Day of Service! Join us for a marine debris removal and litter cleanup of One Mile Creek as we honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This is a canoe and kayak cleanup where we will be going deep in the trenches of One Mile Creek. It is not for the faint of heart! We will have a limited amount of canoes and kayaks available to use, but please bring your own if you have one.

This event serves is part of our federal grant from NOAA to help Mobile "Move Toward a Litter Free Mardi Gras!"(One Mile Creek is the waterway that receives a significant amount of Mardi Gras litter). We're excited to partner with City of Mobile, Thompson Engineering, Mobile Bay National Estuary Program, and Gulf Coast Containers for this two-year project. Click here to learn more. For more information, please contact Jamie Bullock at jbullock@mobilebaykeeper.org or call 251-433-4229.
