Still not convinced? Here are six reasons you should hang out with us at Bay Bites. Try saying “no” after this!
Get your food truck on
Here in Mobile our community thrives on local business. It is part of what makes our home so unique. Bay Bites gives you the opportunity to connect with some of the best food trucks in our area. Each vendor will be selling smaller portion sizes, allowing you to get a little taste of everything. Support local restaurant owners and eat a variety of delicious foods - what’s not to love? Participating food trucks include: Soul Heaven Cafe, Wemo’s Wings, Bama Bob’s BBQ, Hotdoggery, If the Snow Fits, Frios Gourmet Pops, Maya Luna, and Smac’s Shack Food Truck, plus beer from Sweetwater Brewery and soda from Coca-Cola.
It’s family friendly
All ages are welcome at Bay Bites, and kids 12 and under get in for free! If the kids need a place to run off all of that summertime energy, we’ve got it. The whole family can enjoy the beautiful views along Cooper Riverside Park. Beat the summer heat with sno-cones from If the Snow Fits, popsicles from Frios, and a waterslide provided by Blue Rents.
Who doesn’t want to spend a warm summer evening hanging out, eating their favorite foods, and being serenaded by live music? Our friends Yellowhammer will be joining us all evening to share some of their favorite jams with us. The best part? It’s included in your wristband price! Not to mention WildNative Tours will be offering 30 minute tours of the harbor for only $10 per adult and $8 per child.
This year we will be offering festival goers a chance to win a free kayak donated by Sweetwater Brewery and a stay at the historic Malaga Inn! Built circa 1862, the Malaga Inn is the only boutique hotel of its kind in the state of Alabama. It is located right in the heart of the Historic Downtown District, and is a staple in Mobile’s history. To add even more, the Mobile Convention Center has donated Summer Classic Movie tickets for Singing in the Rain and a family 4-pack for Paw Patrol. With these awesome prizes, the summer fun doesn’t have to end after Bay Bites!
5. Location, location, location
With all of the hustle and bustle of our daily lives, we sometimes forget how lucky we are to live and work right on the water. Cooper Riverside Park is in the heart of downtown with a stunning water-front view shaded by the iconic Mobile skyline. It embodies everything we know and love about living in Mobile. This evening is about relaxing and enjoying the beauty of our bay and the city we call home.
6. Support a great cause
While this event is about fun and games, it’s also much more than that. Bay Bites is first and foremost a fundraiser that aids Mobile Baykeeper and the work we do. We are invested in our local communities, and everything we do is to provide a clean and healthy place for you and your family. Your support is what allows us to continue our fight for clean water, clean air, and healthy communities.
