Join us for the Apple Snail Roundup on March 30!
LANGAN PARK. 9 A.M. TO 11 A.M.
Join us to help remove the apple snail, an invasive species, from our local waterways. This is a fun, family-friendly event where volunteers will help find and capture adult and juvenile apple snails, as well as remove apple snail eggs.
Volunteers with canoes, kayaks, or small boats are particularly needed so we can roundup as many snails as possible. Please bring a life jacket for children 12 and under.
Please wear comfortable clothes that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty. All cleanup supplies and drinks will be provided.
Red Beards’ Outfitter will be tabling and providing great prizes the winner and runner up who collects the most apple snails.
